Avoiding Red / Green Colours
Enable colour-blind friendly colours across Elemental
Elemental includes an accessibility setting that replaces red and green colours with blue and grey throughout the platform. This is designed for users with red-green colour blindness (protanopia or deuteranopia), but can be enabled by anyone who finds the alternative colour scheme easier to read.
Prerequisites
- You must be signed in to ElementalGo
- 1
Go to Account Preferences
Click on your profile icon in the navigation bar, select Account, then click the Preferences tab.
- 2
Toggle the setting
Find the "Avoid Red / Green Colours?" toggle and switch it on. The description reads: "Uses grey and blue instead of red and green wherever possible".
- 3
Save your preferences
Click the Update Preferences button. You will see a confirmation message when your changes have been saved.
- 4
See the changes
When this setting is enabled, colour changes apply to homework results and status indicators across the platform:
- Passed status changes from green to blue
- Not attempted status changes from no background to grey
- Not passed and Incomplete statuses remain unchanged (yellow and orange)
